Suzuki Grand Vitara I with stock suspension is not well in off-road driving.
With lift kit installed, not only the clearance is increased by 7,5cm,
but the whole characteristic of the suspension also changes.

In the front, togheter with lift kit, entire range of shock absorbers is transferred.
Additionally front shocks have bigger damping force. This, with combination of their better characteristics improves suspension and comfort.
However, the most important are increased ramp travel index and off-road capabilities.
The innovative front a-arms construction raises the front of the car by 55mm, they are also further away from the ground than the original ones, what increase the ground clearance.
They also move wheels forward, so after trimming the lower edge of the front bumper, we can fit bigger wheels.
Maximum tire size which can be fit without cutting sill or fender, is 30" (we recommend 235/70R16 or 245/70R16).
To fit larger than original tires , more offset rims ET -15 or ET -25 are required.
With original size tires, minimal rims offset is ET +5 (for example in some of GV I 1.6 16v rims ET +28 must be replaced with ET +5 or smaller).

Lack of "tatra effect" (wrong front wheel angle).

In the rear, 8,5cm longer gas shocks (4cm bigger stroke) increase the ramp travel index extremaly.
Longer rear springs improve suspension and comfort.

In 3-door version, there are two types of rear shock absorbers:

• Standard rear shock absorbers - driving one or two people or if you drive calmly, you like comfort and convenience.
• Hard rear shock absorbers - driving three to five people or if you like a sharp driving style and a more sporty character of the car.

In 5-door version rear shock absorbers are universal - stable driving, no metter how many people are inside.

Summarizing:
Grand Vitara I with 7,5 cm Radzikone lift kit drives better, more comfortable and off-road capabilities are increased extremaly.

Additional advantage is much more cheaper exploitation than in a car with original suspension, thanks to, among others replacable ball joints in from control arms. All future works with suspension and front drivetrain are several times faster, easier and cheaper.
