Instruction for self-aligning the wheels in
Suzuki Vitara I and Grand Vitara I with Radzikone suspension Lift kit.
IMPORTANT:
Incorrectly adjusted wheel alignment is the most common mistake during the Lift kit installation and use of
Suzuki Vitara / Grand Vitara I with modified suspension.
Contrary to accepted opinions, incorrect wheel alignment does not affect the car's pulling to the right or left.
Therefore, just because the car goes straight does not guarantee that the wheel alignment is correct.
Incorrectly adjusted wheel alignment can cause:
- the car drives badly and "jumps on the road"
- the front of the car becomes too low (it seems that the springs are too short)
- the front of the car becomes too high - the front of the car bounces and hits
- incorrect wheel angle ("tatra" or "antytatra")
REMEMBER – with a lifted suspension, it is impossible to correctly adjust the wheel alignment on "standard" devices mounted on the wheels.
No "lasers" or catalogs will help with a modified suspension because the wheelbase and track width change.
The ONLY 100% CERTAIN METHOD for correctly setting the convergence is with "drive-over convergence plates," which are hard to find in a nearby workshop :)
Therefore, the easiest and most reliable way is to set the convergence INDEPENDENTLY, using the "drive-over" method provided on the next page (it's easier than seems ;)
